Tree Removal
Tree removal is our most popular service, and one that is the biggest and most complex that we perform. On one hand, removing a tree isn't rocket-science, however, on the other hand, it can often be difficult and requires skill and experience. Cleveland Tree Service has removed all types of tree and sizes. The process begins with our free assessment and quote, where we come to your residence or business to survey the job. At this time, we will note the type of tree, size, nearby structures, access point(s), and other particulars necessary to efficiently and safely remove the tree. Further we will ask you if you have any additional requirements for the job, such as removing the wood, stacking it, etc. On the day of the removal, one of our customer service representatives will call you in the morning to remind you that our crew will be on site to perform the work during a window not to exceed 2 hours, such as 12pm - 2pm.
Tree Removal ProcessThe actual removed process itself starts with our job foreman assigning our staff to specific jobs during the job, such as ground crew and clean-up, branch cutters, and lead lumberman. From there, depending on the nature of the job, that is whether we are using heavy equipment or climbing the tree to remove it, we will prepare the site for the removal. This includes stationing all equipment and ensuring clear access path(s) to/from the tree to the street (where our chipper will be located). We remove trees from the top down, whether it be with heavy equipment or manually, so that safe, manageable sections of the tree can be removed piece by piece. So we start at the canopy of the tree's crown and being removing main branches, hoisting them safely to the ground where than can be further reduced in size, stack or hauled away, and small branches/twigs transported to the chipper. During this entire process we keep the work site clear and free of any debris.
So branch by branch comes down until we are left with the main trunk, which depending on the species of tree will leave us with a 10'-15' of tree still to remove. At this point, we will begin to section the trunk into manageable sections for removal. When we are done, all you will be left with is a stump approx. 6"-12", ready for grinding. With that said, some of our clients forgo the stump grinding process, thereby saving some money and, when landscaped around, can be a decorative feature in any yard. One of our clients went the extra mile with her stump and made a very appealing planter out of (pictured to the right). When we are finished with the removal of your tree, you will never know we were on your property, as we will leave it virtually untouched save for one less tree. |
